"Quick setup" usually means one button was easy to press. It rarely means the tool is now actually working for your business. Behind that button is everything nobody put on the sales page: the data that needs moving, the habits that need relearning, the exceptions that need handling.
What the button skips
Migration — getting what you already have into the new place. Learning — the time before anyone uses it without thinking. Cleanup — fixing the mess the migration made. Maintenance — the ongoing cost of keeping it running. None of these show up in the five-minute demo.
Price the whole thing, not the button
Before adopting a tool, estimate all four costs, not just the subscription. A tool that takes a real week to bed in is not a bad tool — it is a tool being honestly assessed, instead of judged on how fast the first screen loaded.
The setup that matters is not the one behind the button. It is the one that happens after, whether anyone planned for it or not.
